I am the other half to my incredible husband Matthew and Mama to our fearless little guys Archie and Rocco, our daughter Poppy and fur baby Babs! I love traveling to foreign places, trying new foods, and finding different ways to break a sweat and move my body. My soul is nourished by adventure, the people we meet along the way, and the stories, wisdom and knowledge they share.

For as long as I can remember, I have always had a deeply rooted passion for pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. When I was younger, birth fascinated me. I couldn’t help but watch a show called “A birth story” whenever I had the chance (and I’m pretty sure it’s still running)! At about 10 years old a close family friend had their first baby and I was so captivated by this little human and the whole process it took for him to be here. I considered myself the luckiest girl to be in his life. This was the first time I experienced what it felt like to be a Mama.

Fast forward to 2016, I witnessed the birth of my best friend’s daughter. Her labor was long, hard, and at times...scary. I was a witness to her enduring strength. Feeling the energy in the room shift just as her baby was born, hearing my beautiful friend grunt and moan, then seeing the tears roll down her husband’s face as he caught a peek at their baby girl for the first time…this, this experience reawakened my passion and set me on this path to fulfill my life’s purpose. Shortly afterwards, I began my training to become a certified DONA International Birth Doula. Almost a year after finishing my Doula training we found out we were pregnant with our own little one.

In early 2018 I gave birth to our beautiful daughter Poppy who was born at just 21 weeks. Our loss was devastating, but I am humbled to have been able to experience labor and birth to meet our daughter. Nothing about my pregnancy and labor turned out how we had planned, however the absolute love, respect and honor my husband and I were given from all of those supporting us was profound. When I gave birth to our son Archie a year later, I was lucky enough to experience this same unwavering support. This is what I want to give back to others. I want to hold space for mothers, help them find their voice, be their support, encourage them, listen and reassure them through the most sacred time in their life.

Through my own unconventional labors and birth, I’ve caught glimpses of the hard work it takes to have a baby and how we need to take care of our new parents. Birth work is sacred, empowering and so—so important. I believe every birthing person deserves to have a satisfying, empowered birth experience. And as a Doula, I’m so happy that I can help make that possible for birthing people and their families. I look forward to supporting you through your journey to motherhood.
